Loss or damage?
Please proceed as follows:

  1. Please contact the University Library immediately! You avoid having to pay fees for late return in addition to fees for media replacement.

  2. Fill out the form [Formular für die Verlust- oder Beschädigungsmeldung eines Mediums - currently only in German]. You give the completed and signed form (if possible with the damaged item) to the University Library or send it by email (bibliothek@hs-duesseldorf.de).

  3. Your application will be processed after 30 days. You still have time to search for the lost medium!

  4. You will then receive a final decision in writing from the University Library for the charges incurred.

​If the medium needs to be replaced, the following costs will be incurred:

  • Fee for replacement
    You pay the price for the replacement order of the University Library.

  • Fee for administration
    In addition, there will be charged a processing fee of 25 EUR per media.
