Our "disposal project"
We review our inventory using comprehensive criteria, with a high level of personal, careful and professional dedication, and in collaboration with the relevant departments.
We offer selected media for sale. We remove media that has not been borrowed for many years. We also reduce the number of duplicate copies and update our collection with new editions and e-book versions.
In all cases, our primary focus is on ensuring that the HSD has access to up-to-date literature for study, teaching, and research. We do not remove any media items that are still needed.
The price per media ranges from 2 to 10 euros.
The BIB bases its prices on current replacement costs and sells in three price categories. The goal is not to generate a profit, but to offer a fair price without seeking to make a profit. The media are marked accordingly. The proceeds are used to purchase more literature.
Our goal is a collection that is based on usage and leaves room for further learning possibilities!
