Introduction: Handling Research Data

Invitation to an Online Event

From May through September, a North Rhine-Westphalia-wide training program for researchers will host a series of events on research data management (RDM) - online, free of charge, and practice-oriented.

HSD is on board…
...and, in collaboration with other universities of applied sciences, is offering several events. The series kicks off with an introductory session on working with research data:

„An Overview of the Research Data Lifecycle“

When: Wednesday, May 20, 2026, 4:00–6:00 p.m.
Where: Zoom; Registration (only in german)

Behind exciting research projects, sophisticated experiments, and precise analyses, there is always research data. Managing this data in a structured way is an important part of good scientific practice and sustainable research.
In this two-hour session, we will guide you through the research data lifecycle and introduce you to the key principles of RDM. For each phase of the lifecycle, we will provide you with strategies you can use to successfully integrate RDM into your research practice or further develop it - with the goal of managing your data securely and increasing the visibility of your research.

We warmly invite
Researchers at all career stages - including student researchers.

The event is offered in collaboration with Münster University of Applied Sciences, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, and Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, and is open to all researchers in North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the NRW-wide training program.
