This app allows you to download e-books borrowed from the Ebook Central platform directly to your personal device and read them offline. The app replaces Adobe Digital Editions and offers improved accessibility and new features.
Read online, do research, or download individual chapters?
Everything remains the same here: You can use the Ebook Central online reader as usual and, after authenticating with your HSD ID via Shibboleth, read e-books online, download individual chapters, or borrow e-books digitally.

The Ebook Central Reader app is designed for both mobile devices and desktop computers. It supports EPUB and PDF files, lets you manage your e-book loans and devices, and is available for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android..
If you would like to download e-books from ProQuest Ebook Central for offline reading:
- Search for an e-book on the Ebook Central platform or in KatalogPlus.
- Log in to the platform using your HSD ID via Shibboleth.
- Download and install the Ebook Central Reader app.
- After installation, enter the 6-digit registration code once.
- Complete the download.
Your digital loans will be synced with your user account in the app.
You can install the app on up to 6 devices under a single user ID.
The app cannot be used on BIB computers.
