For technical reasons, the PC workstation with the special equipment is currently unavailable.
A computer workstation for blind and visually impaired people
is available in the university library and can be used during the library's service hours. It is equipped with:
PC with monitor + book scanner + Braille display, etc.
The equipment is available at the service desk.
The necessary software—a screen reader and a text-to-speech program—is installed on the computer. Books and other text documents can be scanned using the book scanner and read aloud after the text has been recognized.
The workstation for blind and visually impaired people was set up thanks to the efforts of the Diversity Office.
Please pay attention to the following note:
If the workstation is not being used by students with visual impairments, it is available as an additional workstation. However, it must be cleared if the special equipment is to be used.
