Citavi is a reference management and knowledge organization software that
allows you to structure and manage your collections of references, citations, and ideas.
Installation:
Create a paid
Citavi account. The costs are covered by the University Library. When you create a Citavi account, you can save an unlimited number of documents in each project.
Important: Your Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences e-mail address is used for authentication. Authentication with other e-mail addresses (web.de, GMX, Gmail etc.) is not possible.
We have also licensed Citavi Web (Citavi Web manual).
This can also be used by Mac users.
- Start Citavi and log in with your Citavi account.
Note: The current version is Citavi 7.
Program functions:
- Storage of various document types (books, articles,...)
- Automatic creation of the reference list in the citation style of your choice
- Placement of references in the text (= use of Citavi in Word)
- Storage of possible citations for your own work
