Daily and permanent lockers of various sizes are available in the university library.
In addition to private documents, only borrowed media, i.e. media booked to the library account of the respective user, may be locked in.
Day lockers - emptying when the BIB is closed
The day lockers are located on the first floor directly opposite the main entrance and next to the checkroom.
Locking authorization is only valid for use in the university library during
opening hours. Day lockers that have not been emptied lock automatically after 11 pm.
1 locker card is valid for 1 day locker!
Do you use the HSD Card?
You can then use a day locker after activating your HSD Card at a terminal to open and close the locker. You will find the terminal on the first floor of the BIB next to the checkroom.
You do not use an HSD Card but a library card?
Locker cards can be borrowed from the service desk. They are charged to the library account for one day. They must be returned to the service desk before leaving the university library.
If the locker card is returned late,
late fees will be charged in accordance with the University Library's fee schedule.
Permanent lockers
The permanent lockers are located on the 1st floor right next to the elevator.
Permanent lockers can only be used by HSD members.
One permanent locker is allocated per person. They are primarily intended for times of intensive library use (final theses etc.).
Do you use the HSD-Card?
Then activate your HSD-Card at the terminal on the ground floor of the BIB next to the checkroom. You can then open and close a permanent locker with your HSD Card.
You do not use an HSD Card but a library card?
Locker cards can be borrowed from the service desk. They are credited to the library account for a period of 28 days.
The loan period can be extended independently via the library account until the maximum loan period of 112 days is reached.
The permanent locker card can be returned at the service desk during the opening hours of the University Library.
If the permanent locker card is returned late, late fees will be charged in accordance with the University Library's fee schedule.
