Where and how do you get your library card?


Do you use the HSD Card?
Then you don't need to do anything else. The HSD Card is also your library card.


Don't use an HSD Card?
Then visit your HSD BIB during service hours:

  • You come to the service point.
  • Tell them that you are a first semester student and show both your photo ID and your student ID.

    That's it!

  • You will receive your library card on your first visit to the HSD BIB. This visit does not have to be on your first day or within your first week on campus
 

Introductory events BIB

The University Library offers one information event for all new students at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. Within 30 minutes you will receive the most important information about the HSD BIB. It is not necessary to register in advance:

  • International exchange students:
    Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in room 06.E.006​

  • Further dates will be announced at a later stage.​
